The Mountains & Marsupials Tour

The Mountains & Marsupials Tour

Personal, guided tour of the unique wildlife at Healesville Sanctuary & Explore the Yarra Ranges

A trip to Australia would not be complete without the opportunity to get up close to some of the most unique wildlife anywhere in the world.! In 2024, Healesville Sanctuary is celebrating 90 years of caring for native fauna in a beautiful bushland setting and as a proud volunteer, I would love to share their incredible work and provide unique insights to our local wildlife.

When European settlers first arrived in Australia and sent a platypus specimen to England, British researchers believed the Australians were playing a practical joke and had stitched the feet & bill of a duck onto the body of a rat! I can introduce you to egg laying mammals, a marsupial that can press pause on a pregnancy and a bird where the male of the species does all the child rearing.

This region is known for its delicious local produce – orchards, fruit farms, dairies & wineries. You will enjoy stunning views of the Yarra Valley and Australian Bushland, with lunch at a venue tailored to your personal preference.
